Turbo, Inc. began operations in 1981 in West Chesterfield, NH as a distributor
of Rotomaster turbos and parts. At that time, United Turbo, Inc. serviced
the domestic truck and heavy equipment market. They offered factory replacement
units on an exchange basis.
In the late 1980's the Rotomaster Turbocharger Company was
purchased by Garrett, a division of Allied Signal. At that time,
United Turbo became a distributor of the complete line of Garrett /
AiResearch turbos and parts. A line of Schwitzer turbos and clutch
fans were also added to the business.
1991
brought new owners to United Turbo. Greenwood Rebuilders, Inc. continued
to operate out of the West Chesterfield site until April of 1992. With the
relocation of United Turbo Company to a small shop in Spofford, the product
line was again expanded to include most foreign brands of turbochargers
United Turbo also features a turbo rebuilding program. This program
allows our customers an attractive alternative to the exchange program
and reduces turbo repair costs.
In 1993, Greenwood Rebuilders, Inc. launched a driveshaft division; a service
of rebuilding driveshafts on most vehicles and industrial applications.
Custom Driveshaft Service uses Spicer driveline parts when possible to assure
a quality product.
In 1995 United Turbo Company / Custom Driveshaft Service moved to their
present location, Route 9 Spofford, NH. The new facility
is more than double the space of the previous. The additional room allows
us to better service our customers with faster turn around time. We hope
to add other machine shop services in the future.
